I really would give this place a 3.5 if possible. We go often, it is just fine. I do love their chai teas more than other places (it actually taste different than Tazo or Oregon Chai). They have a ton of different desserts which are pretty well priced. I think it just has a weird atmosphere and some jittery servers that have made some of our experiences uncomfortable. This by no means keeps us from coming back, we just think there is more room to improve.

Food is great, coffee is ok, but the service and staff are absolutely horrible. Once waited over an hour for food, and all the manager had to say was that the paper didn't print to the kitchen even though we had been asking for the entire time. No apologies or anything! Staff needs boot camp

Horrible service, couldn't even get a club sandwich right and the cashier was even rude to her fellow workers , do not go!

Favorite breakfast location in Lake Mary! All ingredients and dishes are fresh and well prepared. The beef bacon is incredible. Their oatmeal with a touch of cinnamon and fresh berries is a great power boost in the morning. Their coffee wonderfully prepared and not extremely sweet when you order a latte. This restaurant is perfection!

After i left this plaza, i was really peeved. There are so many good eats and drinks in the plaza (to include my favorite chain bar World of Beer) that i really wish i could've taken it with me. A Cozee Cafe would definitely be a nice addition to Miami, Fl - probably be a great fit specifically in Coral Gables. *cough* *cough* The service is a little slow, but not by my hometown standard. The waitress looked sharp and the setup of the shop made it feel like a highend statbucks. I had the classic egg benedict with their home fries, an order of the crème brûlée french toast and a cappuccino - i have to say that i felt pretty fancy as i ordered. The cappuccino wasn't extraordinary, i like the fact that it's served in a real human cup instead of paper. The benedict was good, but i have to admit it was my first time having one and i wasn't sure how to eat it... do you just smash the buns together and make a sweet egg nectar dripping sandwich or do you fork it (i forked it)? French toast was also pretty lish, it was infused with banana and strawberry chunks, i really want the recipe. My "home fries" didn't make it to me until after my meal for whatever reason but i was too stuffed to even try them. My favorite thing about this place is the food / drink presentation. I imagine that the chef is in the back dancing to upbeat 80s music as he/she crafts these artful dishes. Lots of finger snaps and convulsion dance moves going on back there. Some roller skates might be involved too. Stop by and check it out, if you don't like what's on the menu, there are a few other nice looking dining options in the plaza - although i'm not sure if many of the others serve breakfast. BTW- check in on yelp and get a free treat!

We went to cozee cafe based off of other yelp reviews. We were excited because it says they specialize in breakfast and brunch, but extremely disappointed when we showed and up and did not have that option. If you "specialize" in something then it should be available always. We decided to stay anyway and try it out. I started with mango peach over ice tea and my bf had hot Bombay chai. I loved the way mine was served..steeping in hot water over a carafe of ice with a sand timer to help me steep to my liking. The tea itself was also good but the Bombay chai was pretty weak for a chai. For food we started with sriracha shrimp which was average. We almost ordered the fried yuca but am glad we didn't. The table next to us ordered it and there were maybe 5 fries for $7. I ordered the bistro burger medium rare complete with cheese and a fried egg which I actually enjoyed. I also enjoyed the fries which seem to be battered and fried. My bf ordered piri piri chicken skewers which were cooked nicely, not dry, with flavorful sauce. The rice was tasty with hints of cinnamon but unfortunately it was cold...maybe it was meant to be served that way but would have preferred it warmer. I ordered a vanilla latte to go...a free treat for checking into yelp...it would be perfect for a non coffee drinker since it is not strong at all. I would have preferred it stronger. I gave three stars because there were definitely issues that need to be addressed and only that many because Nikki who was helping another table really has customer service down. Unfortunately I do not know our servers name because be was not very personable and was MIA most of the time. First, he was eating when we arrived and he kept going back to eating in between interactions which were very few. Either you are working or on your lunch break. And when he interacted with us he was very somber and short and we felt as if we were bothering him just by being there. He walked by our table a few times but only once did he ask if we needed anything. Another big issue is that the cafe got really smoky from the grill. The boy at the next table was rubbing his eyes and would have gone to wash his eyes if their food had not been served. The service is very slow. From the time you order to the time you receive the food is probably about 25 minutes and it was not busy at the time. We also ordered something to go but as we paid the check we noticed it was not on there so didn't even bother to remind the server or order dessert...apparently they don't need the extra orders and money so we paid and left. Not sure it's worth another try. Prices are too high for poor service.

This place is so cute! I love the way it's set up. I didn't know Lake Mary had such a nice little area to hang out, eat, drink, and catch a movie. My Mother and I checked this place out because it serves Halal meat and it did not disappoint. We had cheeseburgers but will be going back for more as its a really nice little place to chit chat and hang out.

So we were in town for just a few minutes and decided on stopping for breakfast before we headed home. My amazing husband pulls up yelp and says... this place! I'm pretty much game to try any new place. Especially if it is a hole in the wall, and not a chain. This place is in a shopping center, kind of like a town center. There are apartments above some of the stores/restaurants. This one is on the corner smack dab in front of the movie theater. Has a cute little outside patio. It was warm out so we sat inside. Upon check in with our Yelp app, we were given a FREE vanilla latte! and it was delicious!!! I would have ordered another... except, our breakfast kind of got interrupted by my almost chocking to death! No seriously, it happened! HOWEVER, it was not because of the food itself. It was just a freak accident. I mention this because, NOBODY in the restaurant, including staff members even bothered to pick up the phone to call 911. Now, I know situations like this happen and nowadays, people just wanna pull out their phones to record the incident (I do not think that happened), but for the love of GOD people... if you see someone chocking, call 911! That would be my only complaint about the staff here. BUT! They were very friendly after my husband performed the Heimlich and saved my life! As for the food... I ordered the eggs benedict, and I actually got to eat half of it. It was very good. I stayed away from the home fries because that is what I got chocked on! haha I wish I could say more about the food but frankly, I was so shaken up that it took all I had just to eat half my eggs benedict that I can't remember if it were outstanding! So, staff learn the Heimlich! and call 911 in an emergency! We will stop by again, the next time we are in town. I've gotta give this place another try! Their food looks outstanding!

The last time I was here the service was horrible. I was so disappointed because this used to be a great breakfast spot. I had a few friends with me but our food took an hour to come out. We didn't order anything extravagant either, just simple breakfast food. We thought maybe it was a really off day for them but they weren't busy and my friends went back the next weekend and they had the same issue. I'm sadly never going back.

Finally! Been many times before and always left disappointed. Went for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Not sure when it turned around but place was packed. Nice to have a good breakfast place that's not a chain.

This is a cute cafe located in Heathrow/Lake Mary. I always wanted to try this place out and today I went there for lunch. The cafe itself is nice and the service was a bit slow in my opinion but the servers were friendly. We ordered different dishes so we can try them. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was tasty. The only problem was that it was a bit burned. I had the cozee chicken wrap and to be honest it was OK. It was missing some seasoning in my opinion. Honestly i didn't have a bad experience and I plan on giving it another shot and try breakfast.

Stopped in for breakfast on a weekday and I was the only customer in there. Easy to get good service, thanks! I went with an omelet for breakfast and chose the goat cheese. It arrived a few minutes later and during that time, I was enjoying a very delicious vanilla latte (because they have a Yelp check-in deal!) that was in a Lavazza cup. The omelet was perfectly cooked with quite a lot of cheese inside. A little Sriracha from sriracha2go and it was golden. On the side, a nice pile of very crispy home fries. Is that bacon? Why, yes. Yes it is. It arrived with white toast, not sure why I wasn't asked if I wanted a different bread but it was nice with a bit of strawberry jam at the end. And when I left the restaurant, I had still been the only customer in and out.

They accepted our reservation for 11:30am for 15 people on Open Table. However, they did not plan accordingly, got slammed, and were unable to accommodate us. While waiting, I also heard the complaints of several other patrons who were currently dining about slow and terrible service. We were to be celebrating my nephew's First Communion, and they ruined it. The manager, once he returned from a very obvious smoke break, offered to make it right by buying us breakfast if we returned. No thanks.

  • Bill B.

Sad to say, a disappointment Came in and ordered coffee and water. That took 15 min. Frankly, the coffee was not that good. Finally they took the breakfast order The food was disappointing too. Fruit bowl served in plastic container like you'd expect at the airport. Poor presentation. Potatoes were as if they were warmed over. Toast was one slice when it seems two are typical. Eggs? They were good Friend ordered cheese on a bagel. What a fright!! Cheese looked like it was made In a computer, half draped on a cold, wrinkled, stale excuse for a bagel. Yuck!! Asked for jelly for my toast. Had to ask twice. So that makes food and service substandard. For that matter they forgot the potatoes on one of our orders. Oh, well.

Fantastic food, and great service. I am a regular coffee drinker at this location and it always tastes fresh and refreshing. They also carry craft brews which are bottled for a fast, quick and easy on the run quality coffee. Additionally I have had the pleasure of enjoying their breakfast menu. I'm a huge fan of benedicts and the quality of the food with the presentation throughly satisfied my standards for my breakfast favorite. My other half had also gotten their steak and eggs dish, and the quality of the met that they used was fantastic and it was cooked to his liking. And when all is said and done, try their macaroons! Haven't eaten anything like this in the area yet. Highly recommend!

I was there today for breakfast and the service was great, food was scrumptious, we got a complimentary desert from the chef and it was delicious. The café is amazing and cozy. I'll definitely go back there. I had an egg, bacon and cheese croissant that was one of the best I've ever had.

We love this place. Quiet, personal atmosphere with amazing food. Their filet mignon eggs benedict is awesome, home fries are best I've had and the dessert shooters are perfect.

One of my favorite places to eat and drink coffee in Orlando. Have not had anything from the menu yet that wasn't fantastic.

This place is wonderful!! Our first time here and Sean was our waiter, very personable, professional, young gentleman. He was very prompt and considerate, took our orders, and was overall very tentative to our needs!! Girlfriend loved the smoked salmon eggs Benedict!! This place has an amazing atmosphere, and the name fits the place well! Very cozee!!

Love, Love, Love This Place! Fresh, vibrant and delicious food. The Cozzee Cafe is definitely my 'go-to' place for breakfast, lunch AND dinner! The menus are different for breakfast (amazing), lunch (delicious) and dinner (fantastic). The pancakes are light and fluffy. Omelets and wraps/sandwiches are fresh and delicious. They do not skimp with the ingredients. The breakfast potatoes are so yummy and crispy. The coffee is amazing. They serve LavAzaa coffee and offer a BEAUTIFUL French Press, to which I am now addicted. They have an extensive tea menu as well, a tea for any mood. AMAZING burgers (Bacon Cheeseburger and Blue Cheese Burger are our faves). Steaks are cut in house, and the Peri Peri Chicken is great (so moist and delicious!). The Peri Peri sauce is great on everything (order a side for the fries). Give the Cozzee Cafe a try - you'll love the freshness of the food and the ambiance. It will become your favorite place too!

I love this little cafe, its comfortable if your spending time with a friend or two. The witnesses (every time I go) are sweet and the food is good. I'm in love with their mini burgers and it's a plus that they have ( what I call) a sweet tooth collection.

First customers of the day, so took a little extra time, but well worth the wait! Eggs Benedict was excellent, oatmeal was hot with the fresh berries and granola! Only complaint too much, oatmeal!! The hot mint tea was wonderful!! Service was efficient and knowledgeable! Stayed on top of refills. We will be back! One comment about both employees.. Neither looked like they had combed their hair this morning. Picky I know....just saying. But points for being at work so early in the morning and smiling!!

Kelsey is the best barista!!! If you get a specialty coffee, make sure you have her make your drink. David is the man in charge aka the manager. He is super cool and will make sure your experience there exceeds your expectations.

My wife and I have visited the Cozee Cafe a handful of times, on different days and at different times of day. Unfortunately, while the actual food is overall very good, the service makes this local coffee shop impossible to recommend. The wait staff is partially the issue, but mainly it's the time it takes the kitchen to push out food and the overall lack of urgency on the part of everyone from the manager on up. The restaurant is good about comping for long wait times and apologizing after you get up to leave, but that hardly solves the underlying problem. This review is not to imply that visitors could get lucky and catch them on a good night, but in our experience, it's a complete roll of the dice. Good luck!

Absolutely terrible coffee experience. I don't know what their food tastes like but I wouldn't recommend going for the coffee or espresso drinks. I can say a lot more but I'll leave it at that for now.

Great Food! Great Atmosphere! Great Coffee & Service! You can tell the new management is on top of things and anyone that has had a negative experience in the past should definitely give it another go. The French themed cuisine is perfect for this shop and is made very meticulously.

We had the breakfast and the food was very good! The outside dining was very nice and they seemed pet friendly. The down side was the serivce. We got our food and at that time we asked for honey, lemons, napkins and silverware. Our waitress dropped off the honey and lemons but didn't bring us silverware so we sat there 5 minutes with our food sitting there in front of us unable to eat it. If I go back I will request everything I need in advance.

I would give less than 1 star if i could. This had to be the worst lunch I've had....ever. Waited for food almost an hour...Grilled cheese with kraft american cheese (aka plastic) and tomato soup that tasted like you're eating heavy cream. Chose one of MANY establishments nearby and stay away from this place.

(Re-reviewing since they are under new management.) Since we'd heard Cozee Café was under new ownership and management, we decided to give it another try. And based on this experience, we will likely return at some point. The restaurant was much busier than the last time we were here, and well staffed. We were greeted promptly, sat, given menus and received drinks. We ordered and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My chicken sandwich on garlic bread was good, though a rather small portion for $10.95 (though there was a fairly good portion of fries). My friend's omelette was a different one than he'd ordered, so he notified the waitress and she promptly ordered him another one. When it came out, it was a wrong order again! The manager came over to sincerely apologize and comped our whole check. He and the waitress were extremely kind and handled the situation the best they could have. We wound up having a house-made chocolate mousse too, and it was delicious--light texture and made with dark chocolate. We were also pleased to note they serve Mexican Coke (the kind made with real sugar)! We didn't have any coffee this time, though they have a wide selection of options. I would assume this place is still having a few growing pains as they make changes, and I will return at some point to try a few more options from the menu. My only concern is that the food prices seem a little steep for what you get, especially with so many great food spots in this plaza. If you received a poor or mediocre impression here over the last few years, definitely give its new team a chance to provide a new experience. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My wife and I went in for a quick coffee and now we want to go back for a meal. They were packed, but all the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked great. Our coffee was fantastic. They were slow, but training new servers. I look forward to going for brunch!

This Cozee cafe is not so Cozee service is awful food cold and everything takes forever . Our server got our order wrong three times. Coffee took forever When one water was finally served by the other waitress no one else was asked . We arrived at 10:56 and still hear waiting

one of the worst cups of coffee I've ever had. tried a second cup and it was just as bad. almost tastes like soap was in the canister they served the coffee in. also had a breakfast wrap that was terrible. felt like it was cooked with old oil. can't figure out if they want to be a coffee shop or a restaurant.

I only had an iced chai latte and a crime brûlée since they were about to close when I got here. From what I had the chai latte could have been more concentrated with tea than milk. The creme brûlée was cold but the entrees look fabulous and I look forward going back for dinner.

Nice concept but bad service and poor management. We had to wait for 20 minutes and no even bothered to ask us if we'd like to order something. We just sad there and waited! Then we just walked out and none of the staff seemed to care. Rude way to treat customers.

    (1)
  • Sandy N.

This place has the WORST service. We sat for 15 minutes at our table and not one person came and checked on us or took our drink order. We got up and left and none of the staff even acknowledged us or asked why we were leaving. My friend and I are visiting from overseas so I hope this is not the reason for the poor service and rudeness we received.

I used to go to Cozee Cafe a lot back in 2006. I would always go see a movie and grab a coffee afterwards and talk out front. I stopped going for a few years and recently rediscovered the Cafe one night after hanging out at World of Beer and Liams. Cozee is under new management, they've really revamped the whole place. Rather than just being a tiny coffee shop Cozee is now an actual restaurant. I was seriously surprised that they have Lavazza coffee too, it's my favorite brand of Espresso from Italy, the same my mom uses when we all get together on Sundays. The first time I went back I had simple Cappuccino, and it was great. Not too milky, not too sweet. I decided to come back and try out their lunch menu, and I was surprised to find out that they have a wrap that's become my new favorite. Do yourself a favor and try the Peri Peri Chicken Wrap if you like spicy food, it's very good. If you like burgers, I would also recommend their sliders too, extremely tasty and they always seem to give me more fries than I can eat. They always seem to have a bunch of servers and staff on hand so I never found myself waiting too long for a drink, or a check, and everyone always seems friendly and knowledgable. All things considered, 5/5 would eat again.

Great location, friendly staff and decent food. Had a few long waits for food, and the menu has changed a few times (changing owners?). Not a bad little cafe for lunch.

This place changed management and you can definitely tell things have changed for the better! They now serve LavAzaa coffee and it's perfection. The breakfast is also nothing short of amazing. Just had the classical egg Benedict and it's the best I've ever had. Additionally, being a latte snob, the latte here is perfectly made. This is my new favorite breakfast place.

Vegetarians beware!!! I am utterly disgusted. Just had breakfast at a very nice, upscale cafe that didn't list all of the ingredients in their home fries. This place had bacon in them and nothing saying so. SERIOUSLY??? Any other place I've ever eaten at that puts 'extras' in home fries has it listed. I wish I had noticed, but it just looked like crispy home fries and I had dumped hot sauce all over everything so I didn't taste the difference. I had already eaten all of them when my son noticed it in his. My heart is sad, and I'm not looking forward to the aftermath of being sick :-/ I confirmed the bacon being in there with our server Jason, explaining the lack of info on the menu and that I'm a vegetarian, and I got a small 'sorry about that' as he kept on walking by. A little bit later I approached the counter to ask for a manager only to be told Jason was the person in charge. They didn't even offer to take it off the check. I'll be writing a letter to the owner. If they want to be some fru-fru eatery, then they need to be more descriptive with their menu. Bottom line, it's my own fault for trusting a menu and not asking my regular "I don't eat meat. Is there any in any of the items I've ordered?" and I'm beating myself up for it. I feel as strongly about not eating meat as most feel about their religion and I'm disgusted. This was a very personal bad experience, I know that, but they handled it very poorly. And for a coffee shop the coffee stunk.

What a wonderful find this was, we stumbled across this great place while walking and decided to give it a try. Good call! Service was friendly, genuine, and very in touch with our needs. Food was spectacular, my husband had a gorgeously presented English breakfast tea, and incredibly fresh blueberry pancakes with very fresh fruit! I had ice water (great glasses, very chic but didn't hold much water) and a Greek omelet with a side of bacon and home fries. All the food was fresh and very tasty! We are planning on going back for lunch this afternoon!

I would title my review: Mixed Emotions First things first - the food. My roommate came here before new management a few times and advised me to not eat/drink here because the everything was bad. I've eaten/drank here twice now and have really enjoyed the coffees, dessert and the one appetizer I've tried. My sister says the chai is the best she's had! Food rating: A Now the service... My roommate also said the service was horrendous. Even under new management I agree. The first time I went this place was slightly busy. It took absolutely forever to get coffee. Then they forgot the desserts. Once we reminded them twice they put the order in and that took forever. They brought out one desert and didn't even bring out the other (just a friggen cookie!) The manager knew we were annoyed so comped our drinks. That was nice of him. The 2nd time I went (last weekend in Oct 2014) the service was just as slow. The waitress who must have been new didn't know anything. (a little training maybe??) she never tried any foods or drinks - we were shocked! My sister works in the restaurant business and said waitstaff should always have tastings or at least some knowledge before serving by themselves. Anyway - like the 1st time the drinks took forever, and then the right sizes weren't even brought out. The dessert (just a lava cake) took forever as well. We tried the yuca fries (delicious!) but that took at least 20 min after the coffee and desserts was brought out. This place was dead too- there was only 1 other table sat. I'm just so disappointed. I may go back to get some coffee to go when I have to waste time... but come on! Get your crap together. A small coffee shop should not be this disastrous. Service Rating: F

The food here is unexpectedly incredible. I stumbled upon it while staying at the Westin and seriously went back the next morning for more. Best cappuccino I've had in a long time. Food that was unique but tasty. The flan was delicious and tasted homemade. You can tell the food has quality fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, the service, while so lovely and sweet, is pretty inexperienced and the front of the house manager a bit gruff. I would have given it five stars despite all the service hiccups because they were so sweet and the food was so good, but there were a few too many. Dirty silverware/glass, forgotten side order, little things that keep a good restaurant from being great. Be kinder to the staff. Train them well. Get a good dishwasher. Then this will be a five star place. But first and foremost, change that god awful name. Sounds like a cheap diner and does no justice in hinting at the amazing food inside! I recommend trying it.

Maybe there steak is good as that's what everyone talks about. We got Bolani, Peri Peri chicken and sandwich which was not good at all. Chicken was raw. Bolani was like samosa. And they served 4 tiny pieces for $8 Not good at all. Don't waste money till they charge something about their cafe. Service was extremely poor. Appetizer was served after an hour as 'there was a new system being installed'. Charged us a lot

Cute place with creative options. The onion rings and fresh squeezed juice were a highlight and service was pleasant and attentive. Both orders took 2 tries to get correct and were only B- in taste but other options would definitely be worth a try.

Fresh, fresh, fresh is all I can say about this place! I loved it! Haven't seen turkey like I had in my sandwich since thanksgiving. So moist and delicious too! Mmm. Also free refills on my iced coffee!! Whaaat? Excellence if you ask me. My man had the Cuban and he loves it. I had the daily special which was a turkey club and it was amazing!

Showed up about 8:45 am on a Saturday and waited 15 minutes before wait staff offered to take order for coffee and tea. A couple minutes before 9 am the manager came over and said he was pulling all the wait staff off the floor for "five minutes" to discuss their Mother's Day plans the next day. At 9:15 we left, still without coffee or tea let alone not even ordering breakfast yet. Every single staff person was in the back - and there was, literally, a full restaurant of customers. In that time, not a single meal or drink was served. The menu looked interesting, but management has a long way to go to make this work

The food is great here....the service is usually good for the most part. Today I came in and the only place to sit was at the coffee bar. When I sat down the barista didn't even greet me. I had to wave her over and she took my drink order. Other customers seemed irritated with her too and she looked like she hated her job!! I kinda felt bad for her. Anyway, after she took my drink order, I never saw her again! Oh, except when I was leaving- she was outside smoking (gross)! A different waitress came and re-took my drink order and food order. Food was good, service was better once the other waitress rescued us from the first one!

It is a busy place Saturday for brunch. We waited 45 minutes for our breakfast. Unfortunately when mine came out I had a big platter with a tiny omelette on it. I ordered the Ocean omelet that was suppose to have all of these toppings- none arrived. They were out of home fries. I ended up complaining to the waitress that I didn't feel like I should be charged $12 for that breakfast, and they took the feedback. I wasn't charged for the meal. Not likely to go back at a peak meal time, but would try it if I need a cozy place to drink coffee and do some work- (meaning I am not in a hurry).

Just had some great food and amazing coffee. Not to mention the food was cheap. Got breakfast for 7 bucks. Can't beat that! Will definitely come back again. Come see Amanda she's great!!

Pretty good coffee, nice staff, and a decent place to sit down and do some work :) They have fast internet and the music isn't loud and annoying, unlike some other places I've been to.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The waitress spent time with us to see how our day was going and was very friendly. My boyfriend had the Eggs Benedict and said it was great and the side of potatoes was delicious. I had the bacon, egg and cheese on a wheat bagel and it was perfect. The egg was cooked perfectly and the bagel wasn't overly toasted. I would definitely go here again. The lunch menu looked really good as well. Also, the coffee was amazing!! Go check it out if you are out in the Lake Mary area.

Cute place. Nice atmosphere. Super slow service and the food isn't great; definitely not worth the wait.

Amazing food! Great ingredients. I enjoy their dinners so much and love to go there to branch on weekends. They have so many bite desserts. Just the right portion and so good!!!

I have yet to try the food, but whenever we would go see movies at the Amstar, stopping here for a coffee was a must. A former barista, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to my coffee drinks and it's nice to find a place doing it right. The Ghirardelli chocolate sauces and Monin syrups are the good stuff and I'm glad to see this place hasn't gone the way of some other coffeehouses in the area and cheaped out on the syrups. Love it!

Was looking forward to trying the charred wings with peri peri sauce. Called in an order and got there 10 min later. Waited another 20 minutes until my order was ready. The wings were SO salty they were basically inedible! I couldn't GIVE them away! Tossed em after a few of my friends who didnt believe me had a taste. The ground chicken burger looked great but was very overly salted as well. Basically i dont think the people in the kitchen know what they are doing. They obviously dont taste their own food before putting it out there. Bought a blueberry scone that looked great...tasted like a Bisquick biscuit with a few berries in it. I would not go back here...

Would I return - No! I around 8:00 am on a Monday morning. There were two other people in the restaurant and two staff persons. I was seated and brought a menu. The time to order took an average amount of time. Once I placed my order it was almost 30 minutes until the food arrived. During this time no one else entered and ordered food to my knowledge. My server also disappeared for an extended stretch. When the food arrived the portion size was awesome but the food was warm at best as if it had been sitting for some time before being brought out to me. To top it off the coffee was only average. I would avoid this spot.

I walk on my lunch hour every day. I usually go to publix because they always give such great service. One day I didn't have enough time to make it all the way to publix to get my coffee. I stopped into Cozee Cafe. I was greated by Pam Moore. I only planned to go their once. I didn't really think I would ever go back until I was shocked with the best service of my life. Pam greated me with the warmest friendliest smile I have ever seen. I have going to Cozee Cafe alot since that time. I am really big on customer service. Ask my husband every time we leave a restaurant, hotel and public place he gets a report of how wonderful a place is or how it isn't. After I saw how great the service is then I realized how lovly the place is. Thank to Pam for going above and beyond to care for the customers. The coffee is great and the environment is really cozy.

New management, new menu, great service! Finally a locally owned quaint coffee/breakfast/lunch spot in Colonial Townpark. Definitely worth another look if you've been here before and haven't been impressed (like me).

I planned and executed an event last night and used Cozee Cafe's "Shooters" as the dessert. I cannot tell you how impressed the client was as well as the people who attended. If you have not found Cozee Cafe yet, you need to get yourself up to Lake Mary and check it out, great job to David and his crew for helping to make me look like a rock star!

It was ok. The food was good. Staff could have been nicer and more attentive. The sandwiches took a little while to get to our table, but when it did they were good. I would go back. The fries, tempting, are delicious. They make their own potatoe chips and we enjoyed them. They were tasty. I had a ham and cheese and it was toasted perfectly. The service was lacking, but might have just been the server we had. He was nice but when we asked him about yelp, he just kept saying to write a review on google. He did not seem to know what yelp was even though we were going to use out yelp deal here. But they seemed to have figured it out finally. So ultimately we would go back for lunch. Not too many tables inside but they do have an outdoor patio with several tables. But it over looks the theater might be nice so sit out in the winter.

I know my coffee shops. I spend waaay too much time in them! This is one of the few that also has great food. (see my omelet pic cooked by John) Granted, some days are better than others, but it's usually pretty darn good. The menu includes real greens, not just iceberg salads, burgers, croque monsieur, and even home made potato chips. The place has indoor tables & chairs, (a couch and comfy chair area would be a nice addition), and an outdoor patio with heaters when its chilly. Clean tables and floors, comfortable sound level and temperature; it's NOT freeze-you-out-the-door-cold like so many other places. This stuff matters if you want to sit down and relax for a bit. Also, it's right next (50ft) to the AmStar theater. Very convenient before or after a show. Lots of neighborhood coffee shops come and go. Let's hope this one stays!

Unfortunately, I've had two poor experiences here. While the food was great and the menu diverse, the customer service was terrible. We waited an hour and a half for breakfast on the first occasion. On the second try, we politely asked the waitress about the wait referring to our first experience, and she rudely replied 'I don't know; I'm only a server and most tables are full." She then proceeded to walk away. I was very taken aback with such rude treatment and I do not have any plans to attempt a 3rd time.

While on a business trip I came across this place and the atmosphere looked good. I was very disappointed with my experience. The soy latte was very bland and the pumpkin spice latte was more milk than anything else. In addition to the coffee, we had a blueberry Danish. It was awful and on the stale side. We attempted to salvage it by asking for it to be heated up but even that didn't help much. I have to say that we won't be back.

Previously we have just enjoyed their selection of coffees and fraps. (Best decaf coffee I have ever had) Tonight we wanted to get some dessert and found this place to have a great selection and quality desserts. Fresh, home made with real ingredients. Brooke was a super and attentive server. We are looking forward to coming back for dinner as the menu and aromas were enticing. Compared to other establishments in the area the quality of the food exceeds that price. This is a must go for a serious dessert person. I recumbent the chocolate lava cake and the brownie a la mode. Amazing!

Nice atmosphere but I won't be returning. 1st we had to ask to be seated and take our own menus and silverware sets. The food was not anything to write home about. The menu says fresh cut fries or chips. Well they do not have chips and the fries definitely frozen. The burgers well hmmm. The roll was nice but the burger was about 50% smaller and appeared to be froZen pre made/ possibly microwaved... Rubbery and tough. I have to say over priced for the quality. I do not have an issue paying 10 bucks for a burger but needs to be good not forgettable. Sorry Cozee Cafe but that's the truth.

This place is the worst. I have tried so many times to support this local coffee shop only to leave aggravated by unprofessional management, inconsistent quality, and all in all lack of knowledge of their product. With WAY too much on the menu, this place is the epitome of "Jack of all trades, master of none" After 6+ unsatisfying experiences, I am at wit's end. I will now gladly drive a mile to Starbucks instead. EDIT (01/09/2014): After originally giving this place 1 star, because I couldn't give it zero, I am updating my rating to 4 stars. The establishment is under new management and has DRASTICALLY changed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the drinks are good. I am updating to 4 stars because I am cautiously optimistic. I hope to see this continue and am proud to say I will continue to return to Cozee Cafe.

Yesterday for brunch the girlfriend and I decided to try Cozee Cafe. I have wanted to try this place for weeks now. I like small cafes, sometimes the best food comes from these little shops. We walk in and the server behind the counter says to be seated and she'd be over in a minute. We pick a booth to the left and look around. Its cozy inside, bright and warm. The counter houses various types of chocolates. with natural flavoring and ingredients. While they sounded yummy, 9 dollars for a small bar was outrageous. Sorry, you're in central florida, not NY. ha! We start off with coffee and my girlfriend orders a mimosa. The coffee was rich, but smooth. I typically don't like heavy coffees but this didn't have the harshness I was anticipating. My girlfriends mimosa was small, LOTS of pulp, and just overall average. Food: I ordered the Belgian waffle with a side of two scrambled eggs. My girlfriend orders crepes containing avocado and a type of salsa on top. My eggs and waffle came out only slightly warm. the bottom was much softer than the top, so I suspect it was microwaved. It was ok to the taste, but dry. My egss were, well, just plain eggs. However, my girlfriend loved her crepes, she said they were very good. Oddly, when we asked for hot sauce, she had to come back with a container of it. Normally small bottles are provided. I guess they dont have those, oh well. Service was good. She checked on our table, we got what we asked for, she wasn't over bearing but kept us happy. Addtionally, I saw a gentlman in a white chef's jacket walking around to ensure everyone was happy, he had a smile on his face and greeted everyone. Nice touch to a little place trying to generate business. However, I suggest working to ensure the food is delivered a tad warmer. Next visit I'll try something else to see if it is just the waffle they have trouble with.

This place is terrible. Panini just thick bread. The chips are fresh made. Unfortunately they are soggy and full of grease. To top it off you have to wait a long time for bad food. Skip it!!

My wife and I have been looking for a good little place for a while to sit and enjoy a great coffee since we got out of the military. while we were stationed in Europe we fell in love with a small coffee shop in Heidelberg and thought we could never find anything similar in Orlando, no matter in Sanford; and I can tell you... We finally found it! The coffee is fantastic, especially the Cappuccino! The food was excellent, and the girl that served us was very nice and attentive. The highlight of our visit was the chef that was visiting the cafe; he came by our table and gave us an item off of the new menu called Nutella stuffed French toast, and OMG it was amazing! ...My wife made me promise to bring her back as soon as the new menu takes effect. In addition, he went and got our dog a bowl of water and a little treat of turkey. My one and only complaint was the bathroom was without towels when I went in there, however they were busy when we got there. Once I asked the Manager though, she immediately took care of it. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a cafe that is affordable, compared to similar restaurants in the Sanford/Orlando area, with excellent coffee (so much better than Starbuck's), friendly staff, great food (especially the French Toast!), and is outdoor dog friendly. Final note: I saw a couple of complaints on the prices, and all I can tell you is, you get what you pay for, this is definitely NOT a Denny's, if that is what you want in price then go there, the quality there will match the price. As for the retail, yes, it was pricy, however as a non-corporate retail shop, one will find prices like that, it's up to you to decide if the item is within your budget or not. However whining about it is so pathetic and makes you look like a miser. Furthermore, G.I. needs to get his or her lower GI checked for issues, because it sounds as if you were the one being disrespectful not the manager. Just sayin!

Tried this place as I had tried everywhere else in this complex....wish I hadn't. Slow service for a Saturday brunch. My breakfast sandwich tasted like a frozen meal placed in a microwave too long and my girlfriend's omelet tasted like plastic. Seriously. Best thing on the menu was the orange juice (fresh squeezed ans only $4.50 :/ ) The service, aside from being slow, wasn't very accommodating to people with allergies. ("I don't think it does...probably not" ...not something that is exactly reassuring when you have a throat-closing allergy) Needless to say, very disappointed.

Terrible service, I have never been treated like this in my life by anyone ! The manager was Very Disrespectful and Rude with no customer service skills or managing skills. I went inside to order my food and she told me that I have to sit down to be served...well, that was my intention to go sit down after I place my order, but since I was inside I figured I can go ahead and order, I have been told that I have to "sit " or I won't be served ... honest at that point I should of just left , but I was with my son and my friends waiting outside. I went outside and ordered with the same person that I was talking to inside, (and by the away, the place was not busy at all at that moment ). The food finally came and it was cold, my drinks came after 10 minutes, the server never asked if I would like more coffee or more tea for my son. I had to go in the store to get creamer for my coffee and I had to ask the people from the other table for salt and pepper, my son wanted more syrup for his cold pancakes but of course he never received it ! At the end, the same manager came to get my check , it happened to get a coupon from the menu that it was inside , she told me in a sarcastic way that is expired ! At that point I told her well , maybe you should not keep in there since is expired , I did not read the date on it , I assumed that it's good since I took it from the store and I receive a coupon from you every week if not twice a week. After that I had enough of her rude attitude and I told her that I would like to pay my check to my server, she told me NO , I would have to pay through her . I told her I won't ....and she said their is no other way to pay but to her !!!! then to make the story short she told me that I will never be served there again !!! Really !!!! That's great because I will never step in there again ! I just copied the customer service logo from their website ... yes, they are right, it was a Legendary Service, one that I have never heard of ! I would recommend to start reading your statement with the manager on duty on 2/19/2012 ! "Our knowledgeable staff is kind, courteous and aims to deliver Legendary Service to every customer, every time! " My friends were speechless as much as myself and my son and a couple of other people that were witnessing that ! I would not go back there ever again due to bad service ...food quality can change but people don't !

$4 for cold nachos. A dollar more and I could have had a whole footlong sandwich from subway. Plus the waitresses were being nasty to another waitress, who was obviously new. I'll come back when this place "relaunches" again.

A friend had mentioned to me that the Cozee Cafe had opened in the former Coffee Cafe spot. Stopped in for lunch on a Monday morning. Lunch menu had lots of different hot and cold sandwiches as well as salads. Lovely display case had a beautiful assortment of pastries which I was informed are made in house. The interior is gorgeous - same as the original - and the music was also good - acoustic versions of popular songs. Even the restroom carried on the sort of posh home-like feel of the place. I had a half reuben sandwich with a fresh pasta salad (also made in house with nice bits of sausage and fresh parsley and carrot.) Service was quick, food was delicious and I enjoyed sitting outside at a patio table. Lots of little birds out on the patio, so I brought my plate inside after I finished and wait staff was so nice, said I didn't have to do that. The staff was especially friendly. Asked my name when I ordered and made a point to call me by name. They managed to do it in a non-creepy way, more like I was already a regular customer. Ordered a latte to go since the place smelled so good from all the coffee. The latte was good but it was so hot that I actually left it in my car while I went to the grocery store and it was still a bit hot when I got back. Next time, I'll ask for ice. The prices were so much better than Starbucks - and the quality was so much better than the Publix coffee cafe down the street. I will be back!

It was a lazy Saturday morning and I needed a bite to still my grumbly tummy (hey that rhymed). Behold, someone resurrected the old space across from my barber into a coffee shop. Well it was a Coffee shop prior, but a poor excuse for one. My qualm with the prior tenant was their mediocre coffee and leftover table scraps they passed off as food was served by the rudest staff in Heathrow. So was this a guise, or truly a new joint? Well the structure appeared the same, but that was one thing I did like about the old place. It was cozy, brightly lit, and welcoming with a little patio adjacent to the street. When I was greeted warmly and asked if I would like help with the menu, I was blown away! The new staff were awesome, and actually pleasant to interact with. My recommended vanilla late was perfectly balanced, sweet and creamy with the espresso buzz. It was accompanied by a solid breakfast burrito. It was in a delightful spinach wrap, but was nothing over the top. I am excited t go back for lunch and explore their menu further!

Great place! The service was amazing and the food was delish. I've only been there twice but I'm looking forward to going back. First time was just for coffee and the place truly is "cozee". Second time was for breakfast. I had a full breakfast and it came out really fast. The staff was very helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend it. I am looking forward to going back and trying one of their amazing burgers. For happy hour (5-7pm) you can get one of their $8 burgers for $5 along with fries. I think you'll love it there.

I've read some previous reviews about old vs. new management, so I can only assume that when I attended in late April of 2012, it was the new management... The manager is friendly, although every time I've been into the place, she's occupied on her laptop. Maybe she's doing business things, but it's kind of awkward as a customer to see the back-office things being done in the restaurant. The retail prices are high, so I skipped any extras after the meal. And, now, for the meal. I opted for a chicken Philly panini. It was rather good - very hot, filling, and fresh. The side salad was pretty good, too - and no up charge. Service was as expected - friendly and not slow. This place was barren at 12:15 on a Friday. Maybe they pack it in the rest of the week, or for breakfast or dinner, but we were one of two tables served the entire lunch hour. I'll definitely come back and try some breakfast specialties.

A great local coffee shop with yummy baked goods! Try their amaretto, pina colada and other great pound cakes. You can even buy the whole cake to share with friends or folks at the office. (I did, and I was a hero that day)!

A nice little place to grab a quick snack/meal or chat with friends. Service was outstanding and very helpful. The coffee isn't amazing. Appears to be your generic drip blend, but they do have espresso available. It's more of a hang out than a true coffee house.
